Ringerike campus library

The library is located to the left from the main entrance at the Ringerike campus. You can relax in the newspaper corner or use one of our work spaces between the book shelves or on the mezzanine level.

Knowledge and guidance

The library is open to everyone. Books, journals and databases are available to all visitors. Most books can be borrowed. Journals may only be used in the library. During daytime, students and staff may get guidance in the use of library resources from the librarians. In the evening, the library is staffed by student assistants until closing.

Meeting place

The library is one of the most visited places on campus. Here you are able to meet other students, work on your studies, do group work or take a break with newspapers, magazines or a puzzle.

Day loan

The library has one item from the required reading list available as a day loan. The day loan books can be borrowed until 9 am the next workday.

Study spaces
You can find 80 study spaces scattered throughout the library. These include both small study spaces as well as tables suitable for groups. Please show consideration to others when studying at the library.

Request a librarian

The library answers all inquiries received at the library desk, by phone, email or social media. The “Request a Librarian” service allows you to book an appointment with one of the librarians at the University of South-Eastern Norway. Group lectures in literature search etc. can be arranged upon request. . The service is for students and staff only.

The library has 4 desktop computers reserved for USN student and employee use. You can log on with your USN username and password. This will give you access to your local area in the USN-network and enable you to print. In addition, the library has 2 desktop computers that do not require any log in. However, these computers will not allow access to your local area, to save files or print.

IT Helpdesk

The IT-services do not have a support desk in the library. You will find the IT-services at room C213. Here you can get help if you have IT-problems or questions regarding printing or network access.   

Printing, copying and scanning
You need to be logged in with your USN username and password in order to print documents. You need to have activated your student/employee card in order to print, copy or scan.

Quiet study areas
E212: a quieter study room. This study room has 13 study spaces.
