Innholdet i Helsebiblioteket fra 2023
Helsebiblioteket gir gratis tilgang oppslagsverk, retningslinjer, databaser og andre kunnskapsressurser for helsepersonell i Norge. Folkehelseinstituttet drifter Helsebiblioteket som finansieres over statsbudsjettet.
Mer informasjon finner du på Helsebiblioteket.no
Uenighet i forhandlinger

Cuts in Helsebiblioteket
Major cuts in Helsebiblioteket.no from 1. January 2023 and disagreements in negotiations on national agreements, mean that the databases AMED, Embase, PsycINFO and Cochrane Library will not be available via Helsebiblioteket.no from 1. January 2023. The same also applies to the national access to the New England Journal of Medicine. The university library acquires its own subscription to PsycInfo in 2023 as a replacement since this database is used across several disciplines and is important for students and researchers. Medline disappears from the Ovid database, but is retained in Ebsco.
Export search history – act now!
USN will lose search history from Embase and AMED from 1 January 2023. To keep it, you must export your search history before January 1(Norwegian instruction)
The contents of Helsebiblioteket from 2023
Helsebiblioteket provides free access to encyclopedias, guidelines, databases and other knowledge resources for healthcare personnel in Norway. The Norwegian Institute of Public Health operates Helsebiblioteket, which is financed from the state budget.
Access to UpToDate, BMJ Best Practice, Micromedex, Legevakthåndboken, Cinahl, Medline and the Pyramid search will still be available to everyone. Helsebiblioteket will also continue disseminating guidelines, guides, scoring tools and other useful sources of information. More information can be found at Helsebiblioteket.no
Disagreement in negotiations
Sikt , the Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research, reports that there is currently no agreement on the terms of the journal agreements between SIKT and the publishers Wiley, Taylor & Francis and Sage. The disagreement is based on differing views on publication quotas and pricing. This may mean that the agreements will not be extended from 1 January 2023, which will have consequences for where USN researchers can publish open access, and for reading access. The university library is following the situation closely and waiting for news from SIKT.
