Drammen campus library

The library at campus Drammen is located in Papirbredden, next to the river. You can find our main entrance on the 1st floor.

Knowledge and guidance

The library is a resource for students and employees at USN. The library is managed by librarians during the daytime. The library is managed by students in the afternoon Monday-Thursday. We also offer extended opening hours, where you can access the library using a valid student- or employee card. You can read more about extended opening hours here.

Borrowing

You are able to both borrow and return books using our borrowing machine. Course literature marked pensum (curriculum), metode (method) and dagslån (one day loan) can only be borrowed by students and employees at USN. You can read more about loans here.

Courses and teaching

The library offers many different courses during each term. Please contact the library if you want us to teach your class more about searching, source criticism, reference techniques etc.

Group study rooms

The group study rooms in the library can be booked by students at USN through my.usn.no. Students at other universities and university colleges may use the rooms if they are available. You must be at least two persons in the room. The reservation will be cancelled if the group study room is not being used within 15 minutes of scheduled time.

Reading room

There is a quiet reading room in the library. S2602 can also be used as a reading room when it is not used as a classroom.

Request a librarian

We answer all enquiries, whether they are made by phone, e-mail, social media or at our counter. If you want extra guidance, you are welcome to request a librarian. This service is reserved for students and employees at USN.

Printing, copying and scanning

You can print, copy and scan on our printers. Please contact IT Helpdesk for further assistance.
